About

Walla Walla, Whitman College, the wine industry; I have no idea where the rabbit hole will take me but I’m enjoying the ride. I grew up in Menlo Park, California surrounded by intensely dedicated people. Each and every moment of the day was used to strive towards something, anything. Art has always been an escape, a way for me to take a moment to myself. No matter what is happening in the rest of the world, my art becomes my world. Is it insane to have found a life where happiness rules and dreams come true?

In art as in life, I form my own world where I can join my reality and my dreams in each brushstroke. What happens when this collision of creativity and imagination becomes the part of the reality we cherish? Where do the brushstrokes end and the childlike imagination take over?

Is there enough mindlessness in the world for us to escape from our own thoughts? Is art and the intricate brushstroke the only way to live in our own minds without losing them? Is true happiness the oblivion?

All I ask is to be surrounded by people, surrounded by the joy of bacchanalia, the dancing mob, spinning until the mind stops twirling. Put your arms around your neighbor and sing at the top of your lungs, for we have accomplished the impossible, living in this moment. One night down, infinity more to go. Welcome to my world.
